Overview
Created using Unity 5.5 at New York University's Game Center. Thesis project, with outside assistance from Rae Crawford, Karina Richardson, and Mako Sugimoto for art and visual design.
Flightless is a single player platformer where the player must navigate the world with their bare magical hands. The main character, Milin, is a forest fairy who has grown stretching magical hands instead of wings. Using both the left and right buttons of a standard mouse, the player can make Milin's hands grab onto certain objects and surfaces in a range around her, guiding her through the game's levels to find a wise fairy that can change her hands into wings. |

Gameplay Programmer: Used C# to create a context-sensitive swinging tether system and a basic dialogue system that can load information from external JSON files for easier localization, as well as context-sensitive image display to increase the visual presentation of gameplay tutorials.
Level Designer: Designed and iterated four complete levels in Unity 5, using playtester feedback and deliberate design decisions to encourage maximum experimentation for the player and allow for self-directed adjustment to the controls.
